Hilary Zeeuwen (Dolla Hilz)

Hi! My name is Hilary, I got the nickname Dolla Hilz when I was a teenager and that stuck as my handle when I started hosting a radio show.

I am a passionate leader and creator, dedicated to a lifelong path of learning and exploring. I pour love into all of my endeavours, ever propelled forward by my desire to contribute positively to my communities and networks, while gaining a deeper understanding of my world and existence.

In 2013, I moved to Revelstoke, BC, where I started hosting a radio show on the local community station, Stoke FM. The show was called Irie & Fiery, and explored Caribbean flavoured music. Irie & Fiery aired from 2016 to 2020, and in that time I learned to mix and edit music. I’ve been mixing music consistently now for over 3 years, and I started hosting my own events in 2022. My business partner, Nolan, and I started Flatmates Event Services in 2022 in order to service the Revelstoke and surrounding region in private and corporate event production.  

 

In 2018, I started teaching my own brand of dance classes, empowering local women to move their bodies in unfamiliar ways. In 2022, I ran a series of workshops called BootyWORK. The workshops filled up in less than a week and the feedback from the classes was amazing. I have taught several private workshops for birthdays and weddings. 

 

In 2020, I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training and began teaching shortly after. I gave been teaching consistently at Revelstoke's Alchemy Studio. My classes incorporate various styles of meditation, breath-work and movement. I am also available for private lessons.

 

Aside from DJing, event production and movement instruction, I am working towards a Master’s Degree in counselling Psychology through Yorkville University, volunteering at the hospice and spending as much time as I can in the woods, biking, foraging, hiking and snowboarding.
